She loves sharing her passion for health and fitness with others and watching her clients get stronger and more confident. Donna also has over 20 years experience as a registered nurse. She was born in PA and has lived all over the US and overseas as a military spouse. Donna now lives in Friendswood with her husband and two girls. She plans to complete her comprehensive certification and is excited to be part of Bay Area Pilates!

Dona T Lara-Tapper

Dona began dancing at age 11. Dancing was a huge part of her life for many years. Ballet, jazz, lyrical and acrobatics. When she was 27, she was dared to audition for an NFL dance team. Then she was employed as a Houston Oilers Dancer. After that season, she auditioned and became a Houston Rockets dancer for the NBA. She continued working out through the years and found Pilates in 2016. It was something she didn't know that she needed. After taking classes and private lessons, she knew she wanted more from Pilates. So this year, in 2023, she became a certified teacher. Her passion for helping people and getting them moving is the motivation that drives her. She is certified in Reformer and small apparatus such as spine corrector and ladder barrel. Studying the flow as Joseph Pilates intended has affected how she sees people. Keeping in line with the spine has changed her life. One of her favorite quotes from Joseph Pilates is, "You are only young as your spine is flexible.

Kim Burgoon-Luchs

This class will flow and with pilates challenges. We will challenge the abdominals, while working legs, arms and back muscles. We will complete the workout with a standing series on the Reformer (great for balance and toning legs).
