Core Conditioning

Heather Behne

Heather’s first love has always been athletics. She was a scholarship softball player at University of Memphis. She was also a former Aquatics director for YMCA of Jackson, TN where she taught Lifeguard Training, swimming lessons and water aerobics. Heather is new to Texas and Pilates too. She chose Pilates to gain strength and to become lean, not bulky. Heather has been attending our studio since May 2017 and with this new love she has decided to become an instructor. She has passion for the details and wants to ensure you get the most benefit out of every training session. Heather is a trained STOTT PILATES® Intensive and Advanced Matwork Instructor. She will continue her training in January 2018 with the STOTT PILATES® Reformer Training.

Cristie Anton

Cristie discovered her love of teaching when she taught her first aerobics class in New York City in 1979. After getting married to her husband David, and starting a family, she continued teaching a variety of fitness classes. In 1999, she took a Pilates workshop and felt an instant connection and love for the practice. "It works every muscle in your body and leaves you feeling refreshed and invigorated." Cristie Anton became a certified instructor with STOTT PILATES® in 2002. She is certified in Intensive and Advanced Mat Level 2, Intensive Reformer Level 1, Advanced Reformer,and Cadillac, Chair and Barrels. Cristie has just completed the Injuries and Special Populations Course. She is working toward the specialty tracks of Athletic Conditioning and Post-Rehabilitation Conditioning. Her continuing education with STOTT ® PILATES courses and workshops keeps her knowledgeable and informed. She is also certified with American and Fitness Association of America (AFAA) and is CPR certified through the American Heart Association.

Kim B-L Burgoon-Luchs

Kim has been active through most of her life, starting with dance when she was young. She first came across Pilates when she took mat classes at a summer dance workshop while in high school. She received her BFA in Dance from the University of Oklahoma, and she received her Mat and Standing Pilates certifications from Physical Mind Institute before she graduated. She has started her Reformer training through Balanced Body and looks forward to more education. Kim is a self-described “Pilates nerd” and loves learning new concepts and approaches to Pilates and kinesiology. She’s very passionate about teaching and loves helping others in any ways she can.

Kimberly Anton

Kimberly Anton started swimming competitively at age 8. By the age of 12, she started to plateau and her mother introduced her to Pilates. Her times began improving again! The night before every swim meet Kimberly and her mother would do mat pilates workouts together. She was offered a few swim scholarships, but opted to get her Associates in Math and attend Cosmetology School. After having a baby, she got certified by PFIT in Personal Training. She is fully certified STOTT PILATES® Instructor with MERRITHEW.  She loved doing Pilates during and after her pregnancy at Bay Area Pilates TX.  She saw a difference in her body after doing pilates full time.   Kimberly has worked with many of our clients and they have seen a difference in their bodies and health.

This Pilates Mat workout challenges and guides you through strength building and muscle toning exercises. Ultimately leading to a strong, sculpted and streamlined body, this routine uses the Exercise Mat, Arc Barrel, Fitness Circle®, Toning Balls™, Flex-Band® and Maple Pole. Each piece of equipment is designed to build core stability, improve balance and enhance neuromuscular coordination.
